ADD SCHOOL:
To add a school, log-on to the TRACS Management Resource Centre and click on
"Configure" heading followed by the "Add School" heading.
You will be asked to provide the following information:

- School Code: each school should be assigned
a 3 digit code (letters, numbers, or combination)
- School Name, Grade Range, Address, Municipality/Region,
Phone Number, Postal Code: may be entered in any format you wish
The following fields configure the school location from your G.I.S. system.
It tells TRACS how the school is identified by the G.I.S. system. Enter this
into the Map Name field.
- if you can type the school name into your GIS and it returns it, type the
name of the school into the Map Name field
- if the school name is not shown by the GIS but the address is, type the
address of the school into the Map Name field
- if the school is identifiable by latitude and longitude only, type the lat
and long into the Map Name field
Example: -79.12345 / 40.12345
Once you have entered the GIS location data, inform TRACS of the type of location
data you have entered by selecting one of the choices in the "Type"
field.
- Named: if you typed the name into the Map Name field
- Address: if you typed the address into the Map Name field
- Co-od: if you typed lat/long into the Map Name field
